Wear Plate JS-700

The JS-700 wear resistant compound steel plate has been developed for applications requiring

high resistance against wear by abrasion combined with medium impact.

The JS-700 wear plate are used in many segments of industry: steelworks, dredging, mining, refineries, cement, glass, timber, power, generation plants, earthmoving, sugar mills, paper and pulp industry, etc. which are basically the same as for JS-650. JS-700 plates are however preferably used in situations of small particle impingement and erosion.

General Characteristics:

  • Type of Alloy: Iron based
  • Group of Alloys: High Chromium Iron
  • Microstructure: Primary carbides and M7C3 eutectic carbides in an austenitic matrix
  • Typical Hardness Range: HRC 57-60
  • Abrasion Resistance: Excellent
  • Impact Resistance: Moderate
  • Maximum Service Temperature: 300°C
  • Machining: Not possible. Only Grinding
  • Flame Cutting:  No. Plasma-Arc is preferred.
